As far as I can remember, I have lived cycling. I entered into cycling as an enthusiastic junior. The gains were initially strong but started to plateau. I started working under the guidance of renown coaches, Massimo Testa & Judd VanSickle, who taught me the importance of implementing a scientific approach to training. Improvements continued and with help from his prior coaches, I was able to improve to levels he never thought possible, improving my Vo2max by 18%, power at threshold by 50%, & cut over 3' off of my 40k TT.
With a passion for cycling and a deep interest of pursuing a career as a cycling coach, I focused my attention towards getting the most from my college experience. I racing collegiately while working passionately toward my degree in Neurobiology, Physiology, & Behavior. To further supplement my experience, I spent a year working in a research lab, studying the effects of mitochondrial abnormalities where I further understood the importance of the scientific method.
My curiosity continued as I started coaching myself to see if there were ways to further push further and reach new heights. With this experience, I was able to implement the scientific method into my training, giving me the tools to push further. After all the gains I got working with my prior coaches, I was able to further improve, taking nearly 7 minutes off of my 40k TT (setting a state record in the process); winning my first P/1/2 race, and winning a national championships as part of the UC Davis TTT in 2008.

Scientific Approach
Every month you are participating in a research study: How to make you faster and enjoy every day of it. Each month a new hypothesis will be made and tested against your feedback to see how to further progress. Either the hypothesis is validated, giving insight to where you best adapt or a new, modified hypothesis is formed and futher tested. With every month the training is further adapted and tailored specific to you.
